Following the execution of six political prisoners—Vahid Bani Amrian, Pouya Ghobadi, Babak Alipour, Shahrokh Daneshvarkar, Mohammad Taghavi, and Abolhassan Montazer—authorities have refused to return their bodies to their families. Human‑rights observers note that withholding the bodies of executed individuals violates one of the most basic human rights of families seeking closure and the ability to bury their loved ones with dignity.

A coordinated online action is planned for Wednesday, 19 Farvardin 1405, from 20:00 to 21:00 (Central European Time). The campaign will take place on both Twitter (X) and Instagram, calling attention to the families’ demands and the broader issue of the death penalty in Iran.
