As of 24th July 2020, the number of Coronavirus fatalities in 347 cities across Iran had passed 75,900. The number of victims in Tehran is 18,800, Khorasan Razavi 5,625, Khuzestan 5,550, West Azerbaijan 2,285, East Azerbaijan 2,215, Fars 1,870, Khorasan North 1,055, Bushehr 817, Zanjan 710, Ilam 585, and South Khorasan 267.
The spokesman for the regime’s Health Ministry said Today’s state-controlled statistics for the death toll in the past 24 hours is 209, and the number of patients at the “Intensive Care Units” is 3,556, the highest since the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak. She told IRNA, Today, that the provinces of East Azerbaijan, Ilam, Bushehr, Khorasan Razavi, Khuzestan, Zanjan, Golestan, Mazandaran, Kerman, and Fars are red.
Just recently, Rouhani said that 25 million people have been infected so far and that 30 to 35 million people are at risk of contracting the virus.
Mostafa Ghanei, head of the scientific committee of the NCCT, said: “There is a herd immunity hypothesis all over the world, but this has no efficiency, because the people of a community cannot be left alone to be infected. This method cannot be a strategy… In the past two weeks, the number of young and ill people has increased more than before, which has raised concerns.”
Meanwhile, Babak Eshrati, Vice President of Iran’s University of Medical Sciences, told Mehr news agency, Today, “Our goal in the field of health is to buy time to find a treatment and solution. In this way, hospitals can better serve the most critically ill patients.”
