According to the official statement released by the judiciary, Fahim allegedly entered a restricted military location during the January uprising, where he and others attempted to seize weapons. The statement claims that he participated in damaging the site, setting fires, and removing motorcycles from the premises, which were later burned by protesters. Authorities also noted that he did not carry a mobile phone at the time, interpreting this as evidence of prior planning.
Fahim had been sentenced to death on February 6 by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran. The ruling was later upheld by Branch 9 of the Supreme Court.
This execution is reported as the tenth carried out against dissidents within a one-week period, from March 30 to April 6.
Maryam Rajavi stated that the execution of Ali Fahim reflects what she described as a regime in deep crisis, claiming that it relies on continuous executions to maintain control. She added that such actions only intensify public anger and increase the determination of protesters.
Rajavi also called on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to take urgent and practical measures to protect political prisoners facing execution in Iran.
