According to judicial media, Amirali Mirjafari, son of Mohammadreza and one of those arrested during the December 2025 protests, was executed early this morning after his death sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court.
The state‑affiliated Mizan News Agency reported that the charges against him included setting fire to the Gholhak Grand Mosque and leading local protests during the December unrest. The execution was carried out following the completion of judicial procedures and final confirmation of the verdict.
Human‑rights groups and civil activists have expressed concern over the handling of protest‑related cases and the rise in death sentences in recent months.
