در نامهٔ خود تصریح کردند:

مردم ایران هم دیکتاتوری سلطنتی و هم استبداد دینی را رد کرده‌اند و در عوض خواستار برقراری یک جمهوری آزاد و دموکراتیک هستند.

ما تشدید اعدام‌ها، سرکوب و نقض فاحش حقوق بشر در ایران را محکوم می‌کنیم و حمایت خود را از مقاومت سازمان‌یافتهٔ مردم ایران و برنامهٔ ده‌ماده‌ای خانم مریم رجوی برای ایران آزاد و دموکراتیک اعلام می‌داریم.
