Abbas Daghaghleh, a 22-year-old Ahwazi Arab rapper known by his stage name Rashash, was arrested by security forces in Ahvaz on Friday, October 10, 2025. According to local sources, officers raided his home, confiscating his phone and music recording equipment.

Rashash is known for addressing issues such as poverty, ethnic discrimination, racism, and the systemic marginalization of the Arab population in Khuzestan through his lyrics. Following his arrest, all posts on his Instagram account were deleted, and Iran’s Cyber Police (FATA) announced that they had taken control of the account.


Family members and friends report that there has been no information about his whereabouts or condition, and that he has been denied the right to contact or meet with his family.
