Amnesty International has issued a new statement warning of the worsening human rights situation in Iran, revealing that dozens of political prisoners — including Peyman Farahavar — are at imminent risk of execution. According to the organization, many of these death sentences are handed down after unfair trials and are politically motivated, often based on coerced confessions extracted under pressure from security forces.
The statement further emphasized that executions in Iran are not only used as a judicial punishment but also as a tool of political repression and intimidation of society. Amnesty International called for the immediate halt of all executions and highlighted Farahavar’s case as a clear example of how Iran’s Revolutionary Courts silence political dissent through capital punishment.
