More than a month after the arrest of Zeinab Azizi and her husband, Sirvan Amini—both Kurdish residents of Sanandaj—new details have emerged regarding their situation and the charges brought against them. The couple, who were detained by Intelligence Department agents in mid‑Esfand last year, have recently been transferred from a security detention facility to Hamedan Central Prison.

According to sources close to the family, the couple has not been granted any in‑person visits since their arrest. They have been allowed only three short, heavily monitored phone calls with relatives. They remain denied access to legal counsel, and the judicial process surrounding their case remains unclear.

Authorities have reportedly accused the couple of using Starlink satellite internet equipment, amid increased pressure on citizens seeking alternative communication methods during recent internet disruptions.

Azizi and Amini were arrested on Saturday, 16 Esfand 1404, when plainclothes agents entered their home in Sanandaj without presenting a judicial warrant and used force during the arrest.
