Abolhassan Montazer, a political prisoner held in Qezelhesar Prison, is in a critical and life-threatening condition. This situation is a direct result of deliberate neglect by prison authorities and security agencies regarding his urgent medical needs.

A few days ago, Montazer experienced continuous fevers and chills. An emergency test at the prison infirmary revealed that his platelet count had dropped to a dangerously low level of 38,000. Despite this, at Imam Ali Hospital in Karaj, he was not admitted immediately and was kept handcuffed on a chair for 24 hours due to lack of beds, without medical examination or hospital food.

After a full day, he was finally admitted. Tests showed his platelet count had dropped further, and the doctor ordered 10 units of platelet transfusion, but the procedure was delayed for three days. During this period, his condition worsened, resulting in continuous nosebleeds for six hours, subcutaneous bleeding, rectal bleeding, loss of consciousness, and severe hallucinations.
