Reports indicate that Mehran and Fazel Bahramian, two death row prisoners, are facing imminent execution. According to sources close to the family, their relatives have been summoned for a final visit — a step that usually signals that the sentence may soon be carried out.

According to available information, the brothers’ sibling was killed during the 2022 protests in Iran. Mehran and Fazel Bahramian were arrested during the memorial ceremony held on the 40th day after his death in Semirom. Following their arrest, they were charged with the killing of a government officer, a case that ultimately resulted in death sentences for both.

Earlier reports also noted that in protest against the situation of these two prisoners, public activity in the city of Semirom was once brought to a halt, with a widespread strike taking place.
