Human rights sources report that the Iranian judiciary has upheld heavy sentences totaling 90 years in prison, along with fines and additional punishments, against 10 Baha’i women residing in Isfahan.

According to the report, Branch 47 of the Isfahan Court of Appeals, presided over by Firooz Ravanmehr and Ali Deyani, confirmed the original verdicts in full without any changes.

The names of the convicted women are:

Shana Shoghi-Far, Negin Khademi, Neda Badakhsh, Arezoo Sobhaniyan, Yeganeh Rouhbakhsh, Mojgan Shahrzayi, Parastoo Hakim, Yeganeh Agahi, Bahareh Lotfi, and Neda Emadi.

These citizens were arrested on October 23, 2023, and after nearly two months of interrogation, were released on bail pending trial.

The confirmation of these harsh sentences comes amid repeated warnings from international organizations and human rights groups about the escalating persecution and systematic repression of members of the Baha’i faith in Iran.
