Ongoing Detention; Continued Lack of Information on the Whereabouts of Mehdi Sarani

Mehdi Sarani, a 42-year-old resident of Zabol, has been in detention for 10 days after being arrested by security forces, yet no information has been provided about his whereabouts or condition. This lack of information has caused growing concern among his family and relatives.

Sarani was arrested on November 17 by agents of the Intelligence Department in Zabol. Following his arrest, security forces took him to his parents’ home, where they conducted a thorough search of the house. During the inspection, they seized his laptop, hard drive, flash memory, and other personal belongings. The mobile phones of all family members were also confiscated and searched for about an hour.
